CARTER NORMANLY is a videographer & director from North Carolina currently based in Brooklyn, NY.

He received his BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) with a concentration in Film Directing and Producing.

While at school, he interned with multiple development companies, including Permut Presentations (HACKSAW RIDGE, THE INVITE, FACE/OFF) and Fabel Entertainment (BALLARD, BOSCH, BRILLIANT MINDS).

His narrative work is often defined by moments of silent reflection in the midst of chaos, as well as a careful analysis of family dynamics. He draws on his own upbringing and shared experiences to connect with audiences.

His first introduction to the world of video was watching his parents work at a local television station. Days after school were spent in edit suites or on location.

Carter is currently the Head of Production for First Round’s On Me.
